We offer pinball repairs at our store and onsite repairs throughout Knoxville, Knox County, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge, Clinton, Crossville, Lenoir City, Loudon, Tellico Village, Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and more. We also sell reconditioned and warrantied pinball machines and parts. We can tackle anything from a weak flipper to a barn-find pinball machine.
Our pinball repair philosophy is that for an older game that needs some rehab, it does not make any sense to try to individually diagnose problems and then repair them. Pinball machines are fairly complex with many interactions and sub-system dependencies. For example, one can hardly diagnose an MPU unless first knowing that the MPU is being delivered all the proper voltages. This approach does not apply to newer pins or those recently serviced where one can more reliably assume the subsystems are working properly.
So our approach is to systematically work through a game from its 3-prong power plug, through the fuses, power supply, boards, and game features. By taking this approach, we will not only repair the problem that brought the game to us, we will undoubtedly find and fix other problems. Some of these other problems will be very obvious; a switch was not working before and now it is. But many more of the problems fixed will lead to quality of play, like resoldering header pins that deliver more power to the pop bumpers…making them poppier. We encourage potential repair customers to come and play our pinball machines listed for sale. You will be impressed with the play, the action, and the cleanliness of the pins. Your pin will receive the same care and attention to detail as the pins in our showroom. Quite frankly, we hate to play sloppy pins, and we won’t let pins leave if they are playing or looking less than exceptional.
